A couple weeks before Christmas, in December 2017, Forsyth County received more than half a foot of snow. It seemed to come out of nowhere and it just kept snowing and snowing and snowing. The next few days were spent building snowmen, making snow angels, sledding, cozying by the fire with hot chocolate and enjoying the beauty of our town covered in snow.
The next time we get snow, if you are looking for some local hills for sledding fun, here are three great local spots!
The hill on the east side of the park is ideal for sledding and catching sunsets!
2. Fowler Park
In the summer months, the kids love rolling down this hill after playing on the playgrounds and on those rare instances Cumming gets snow, kids fill the hill with sleds….or cafeteria trays!
There is a park in the Vickery neighborhood, just behind Vickery Village that is perfect for sledding!!
Where are your favorite local spots for sledding?!
Below are some photos from our fun in the snow!
